...outside of the MASN viewing area.  Bob Costas and, I believe, Jim Kaat, will be doing it.

MASN will still be doing the game for the rest of us.

They will air Saturday's game too.  Sunday's will be on TBS.

i just looked into tickets on stub hub for Saturday, the cheapest freaking seat is $43 (lower RF terrace).  I've never seen anything like this before.

The best team in baseball, and the Yankees are also pretty good.

Current StubHub availability for the Yankees series:

Friday - 3,288 tickets left starting at $40
Saturday - 3,953 tickets left starting at $42.78
Sunday - 4,604 tickets left starting at $34

That's a little less than what they were going for a few weeks back.

A lot of smack talking from Yankees fans.

Of course, the fact that they're going to miss Strasburg helps.

So the TBS game won't be on MASN?

No, like most others, I think it will only be avaiable on TBS outside of MASN's territory.

Is this the most important series for the franchise since they've moved to DC?

In first place with the best record in franchise history, some hot young stars...and now playing against the first place Jankees.

It's John Smoltz with Costas, not Jim Kaat.

A week ago, this was a horse race of a division. Lots of teams within just a few games between them. Nationals in first, Braves in first, Nationals in first, Mets in first. Everyone else hot on their heels.

Then some guys from the Bronx came in and skullfreaked all the other teams in the division. Now the Nationals have a commanding 5 game lead. But with a huge asterisk: we haven't played the Yankees yet.

This series is huge if we can win it.

Not really. Even if we get swept we just went 6-3 in a 9 game stretch against the AL East. Who cares what power rankings say, that is a nice notch in the standings.

We'll forget about this series in two weeks barring a memorable walkoff or individual person.

Tampa has been getting their ass kicked by the Mets, I'm not afraid of that team, they don't have much talent. However the Yankees are very stout though we don't have to face Sabathia nor Kuroda in this series.

In the Yankees series I want 2 of 3. We have nice matchups. Gio vs Hughes, edge us. JZimm vs Pettite, even. Edwin Jackson vs Nova, edge us. Though the Yankees' offense has the potential to go off on any pitcher so our offense is going to have to be able to put up 6+ runs I think.

Don't forget the help from the Red Sox. Getting swept and then taking 2 of 3 from the Fish was just about the perfect accomplice role for them.
