That's a good point.

Werth played in this park for years. He should know the rules. Why wasn't he running hard to score?

Time to turn Rollins loose on the bases.

Ah, we're getting back to the days of one opposing batter a series hitting .500 or better.

Sigh. Rollins is a beast

The Reds didn't have a problem beating the Phillies earlier this week. Wtf is wrong with them

I can't wait to see the postgame interviews.

I wanna hear Knight.   He's been pretty direct lately.

Didn't the Braves recently sweep the Phillies too?

You can spin that the other way. Nats vs. NL West leading Giants: 5-1. Braves: 2-4

Yep. We are the only team who struggles vs them.

The Phillies definitely get up to play vs us unlike against the Braves for example.

True, but the Nats and Braves play the Phillies 18 teams per year and the Giants only six times (or I guess seven for the Braves).

A lot of this might be bad luck, but it's revealing an underlying issue.  The Nats take things for granted:

1. Bryce thinks every pitch will be a strike
2. Espinosa thinks he'll get defensive indifference, since other teams do it all the time against us
3. You know the rest.

Davey needs to :whip:

The Braves are going to earn a series split tonight vs a hot Giants team

Stanton is back, and the Nats don't pitch around anybody.  I'd expect disappointing series from here until Zimmerman gets a cortisone shot, Desmond comes back for real, and Morse comes back strong.

Not in that house of horrors known as Marlins Park.  We've never been able to play well against the Marlins.
