Try this. It works for me. Just type in your starting address and click each "turn".

You meander 8 miles every morning??? Eight miles should take at least 2 hours walking...

I'm impressed. That's a serious amount of walking.

Only 5 this morning, but I hate running and I own a whippet who needs exercise

You'd have a hard time running a whippet. The speed differential would just be too much. ;)

fortunately he has no endurance- watching him fly is great, but he's done after a few laps around the yard- walking works for my lazy self and him

I did 3.5 today.  Feet are still hurting quite a bit, time for some new shoes.

I was in the air yesterday so did not get to run. I'm hoping to go out tonight for a bit, but I'm in Colorado Springs (elevation, 6,000), so I don't know how well it will go. :|

Get them before you get an injury that puts your running schedule on hold for several weeks... Happened to me when I started running again, using old, beat up shoes.

Keeps the rattlers quiet.

They were buzzing when I visited Castlewood State Park back in July, between Denver and Co. Springs.

Nice. I just completed week 3 day 3 workout about 3 minutes ago. Week 4 doesn't look fun, but I have two days to rest. :D

i got 3 days in this week - half a mile on monday, a mile on wednesday, and a mile and a quarter today.  Running/walking still and trying to focus more on getting a good 25-30 minute workout in rather than how far i actually run.

The do anything approach is fine, too. I was aiming at a 5K in March, now I'm thinking 10K instead. I can run five miles with relative ease now. I didn't do the Couch to 5K religiously, I just counted and increased the running to waking ratio bit by bit as I felt like it.

Five mile run Friday afternoon in the woods, and another last night on the park running path. Won't do that much today.

I took off a couple of weeks to give the old hips a rest (plus vacation time on the bike).    I'm back to my "short route" and hope to hit the regular mileage before the end of the month.   It felt good today.   Best time of year to run imho.

Just discovered imapmyrun - free app that gives you a map, distance, average speed and current pace. I also like that it saves previous walks/runs

Road Runner is a good shop and website.  I dont run but got bad arches and bad knees.  It took a few tries, but i finally found a pair that i can wear without my orthotics.  ASICS ENDEAVORS.  They have a VIP program which saves you on shipping and you have 30 Days to try them or return them.

One of my co-workers runs marathons.  He has a pair of the toe-shoes.  He said they take some getting used to, because you use a lot of muscles you dont use before.  Otherwise they are great!  He's the one who recommended Road runner sports.

Cant join you guys running for awhile!
