Kelly Shoppach is certainly available.  Mostly plays v. LHP.  some pop, having a pretty good year, and can throw.

I'd trade Shoppach for Flores/Solano and Lannan/Duke/whatever other non-important arm.

What would the Red Sox be looking for in return?

My guess is pitching prospects.  They could use MLB rotation upgrades, but they are a little sclerotic in terms of their starting staff (the expensive guys stink and take up space).  They have too many outfielders, so nothing there.  Maybe an MI, but I don't see them needing a long term fix with their best position prospect a SS (Bogaerts) and a guy with an MLB glove at AAA (Iglesias).  DeRosa I don't think is better than Punto, so I think they'd look for minor league depth and bring up Lavarnway to backfill for Shoppach.
