Just one more out John. We can take it, the bullpen should be rested after the few days off.

This game is an exhibition of freakishly bad luck and horrible baseball sense.

Come on John.

Embarrassing.

Hit him kind of low on the leg didn't it?  I'm not sure I'd call him out for that.

I don't expect much better from Tyler Walker.

The league has figured Lannan out. Could he possibly go from opening day starter to DFA by next season? That would be something.

So do you, Bob.

Took the words right out of my mouth.  [Bob "GOING, GOING... caught" Carpenter: "Morgan cannot judge fly balls"]

Embarrassing.

He's just not talented enough. It's a shame. But you can't practice for talent and you can't buy it.

Hard to watch Lannan sometimes.  I feel like I'm watching a drunk guy trying catch a balloon on the edge of a cliff when he is pitching.  Who didn't know he would give up the hit to the pitcher?

I think it's the adjustment of a guy who will likely end up a solid hitter whose defense carries him.  His plate discipline and quality of contact seem to be better the last few weeks even when he's not getting on.

Therein lies the difference. He's got major league talent but he needs to put it all together. Takes work.

I'm talking about not getting out of the fifth against the Pirates. The worst hitting team in the NL.

Isn't Lannan's nickname in all seriousness "Eyebrows?"

DFA Walker, Lannan to the pen, Stammen to the majors. Why not?

I mean... part of me agrees with you, but you have to admit that Nieves and Morgan sabotaged him about as much as is possible.

That'd be an interesting prop bet... if you could classify the type of 'stuff' a pitcher has... who currently has better 'stuff'

Moyer or Lannan?
