not a strike at all. Umps hate when batters put their arms up like that, though.

What do you mean?

Rare commodity to have a hitting catcher like Martin.

I thought JB said he wanted the best team possible on the field.. Well starting Bacsik throws that out of whack.  We had the Dodgers right where we wanted them and Mike proceeded to get shelled and eventually he blew the lead.  Guys like him shouldn't even be starting on this team at this point in the year.

When players raise their arms when the ball's inside, thinking that it was even more inside.

Mike pitched a good outing until that inning; Manny should have pulled him earlier.

This is the Rauch that dominates.

of course Rauch looks unhittable when the game is out of hand.. Wish he would pitch like that more in clutch situations

He's very streaky though; hot and cold.  Ayala is more consistent, he should be the closer if Chad continues to struggle.

Mike pitched 5 innings allowing 2 runs.. In the 6th he couldn't even record an out which is a joke. Please let this be the last time he screws this team out of a win.

6000th post!

There's a reason there was as much if not more interest about Rauch at the deadline than Cordero.

Ninth inning, down a run, go Nats!

I'd say we still have a 22% chance :)

Yes, a one-run lead is an impossible situation.  Thank goodness I have Saito on my H2H team.  That guy's been money for me all year.

Church is feeling his job slipping away. I kinda feel bad for him...just kinda, though.

the game was over when Bacsik took the mound in the 6th.  Rauch needs to be better when we actually have a lead as opposed to a game like this when it is essentially over.

He's now had his chance; he's blown it.  Fourth outfielder, period.

Belliard has a more open swing...it's sucking, as he's below the Mendoza line recently.

Maniac.  Now SUE the umpire for that bad called strike on Kearns.
