hairston/werth, delivered a dagger ... marquis can't put 'em away.  nice going.

well maybe we'll get lucky and scratch out a run against the fish bullpen.  but we're a sinking ship.

Game over. Marquis squeezed and serves up a meatball next pitch.

It's 1-1 in the 2nd inning.

I like the movement on Marquis' pitches right now, but he needs to keep them down.... like that.

Morrison golfed that pitch out

True, but he's not getting the calls. I don't know what you do if the ump won't call it.

You beat even PC to the punch. It is still a tie game in the second freaking inning!  :?

i know, but i have to say when you're facing a pitcher that has absolutely owned us since the existence of time and you have a bunch of opportunities in the early going and fail to capitalize ... chances are we're freaked.

It was going down because he has great late movement, but that means he needs to start them off a little bit lower. A minor adjustment.

Ok sure, but most guys don't hit that one out.

yep, we've seen this happen multiple times already. We fail to capitalize early in the game against a good pitcher and then the pitcher settles down and shuts us out the rest of the night.

here's a guess where zim would end up if he didn't play in DC ... chicago (cubs) or florida.
