Those guys read these threads, get all full of themselves (or starting suffering constrictitus of the esophegus) and start the downward spiral.

I only halfway jest - I'm virtually certain that the english speaking players read this forum, or Google their name and find us that way, or both.

let's start a "Follow the Posters" feature on the uncensored board

Sure, let's plot player performance around the dates of major posts about them here, and determine if their performance is correlated, inversely correlated, or neither.

Jeff - if you read this, I only posted that to show you aren't out of sight, out of mind.  Keep on working at it, and if there is a Potomac fan who introduces himself as "Potomac Cannons," stomp on his foot with your cleats.

we went to opening day at the Pfitz this year, due to some sort of glitch they used Kobernus' photo for everyone on both teams to start the game.

His new nickname should be ""The Dictator" since his picture is up everywhere and everyone had to cheer for it.

.285 / .317 /.393 now at Potomac.

.351 / .368 / .568 over his last 10 games.  Might there be a move to Harrisburg in his future?  Josh Johnson and his .268 average is currently manning 2nd at Harrisburg.

Eh

Really not an impressive line.  I don't know why people are so excited about this guy.

The .351 part looks pretty good and the .568 also looks nice.

We're probably excited because he was a pretty high pick, and we're hoping he turns out to be worth it, and helps our team to victory at some point in time.

The "over his last ten games" part kind of puts a damper on it, though - especially when you consider his OBP on the year is an underwhelming .317, even with the recent hot streak.

Kobernus has some potential, but he is mostly a contact guy that gets on with speed.  While he does have doubles power, he isn't very patient at the plate and probably will struggle at the upper levels.  From what I have seen of him, he looks like a mid-level organizational prospect (10-20 range) with a ceiling of a MLB utility guy.  He has had some injury problems in the past, so maybe that has affected his performance.

I'll still file him in the "potential" category. MLB is filled with guys who struggled a bit then found their way, hopefully he can be one of those guys.

He's already stolen 38 bases (leading the league by 9, second is Eury Perez), and his slugging has jumped about 50 points since last year.  Definitely a prospect to keep an eye on from time to time.

I started following Kobernus on Twitter. This kid is funny. Great sense of humor. His tweet (or retweet) about Valentines Day was hilarious.
