Official mascot of the LoD? Perhaps the Lego version of PC as well?

The current series of collectible minifigs includes a very rare chase figure known as Mr. Gold. I managed to find one at Target today. He is worth up to $1000.

So sell it immediately. It's a freaking Lego.

Do Not use as PEG.

That might tarnish the finish and hurt the resale value

Looking at eBay now, the bids range from $60 to over $500 - are there different Mr. Gold's?

From what I could see, some where "custom" meaning a normal one was made to look like an actual one. The ones in the $600 range seemed to be the authentic ones.

I thought of you while I felt up some Lego bags at checkout today. None of them felt top hatty.

University of Canterbury's researcher Christopher Bartneck has made an obvious discovery: Lego minifigs are not as happy now as they were 25 years ago, when all their iconic, cleanly designed faces were happy. Now they are mostly a mess—including facial expressions of anger, doubt, sadness or fear.

Awesome. I've been meaning to buy a Strasburg minifigure for some time now.
