Epic LEGO Acquisition
« Topic Start: May 09, 2013, 08:33:18 PM »
The current series of collectible minifigs includes a very rare chase figure known as Mr. Gold. I managed to find one at Target today. He is worth up to $1000.

Now can you just go into the store and buy it, or is it something that you lucked upon.

Are you going to sell it or keep it?

The collectible minifigs are blind packaged in bags like this:

The only way to tell is to feel the bags. I was at Target for forty-five minutes feeling bags until I found him. His top hat made him easy to find. As far as whether I'm going to sell or keep it, I'm definitely keeping it for now.

Vega, you should've just asked Lerner's son (PANatsFan) to get you one.

If they get the Gold one, you better snatch that crap up.

But knowing the accessories couldn't you feel the package and at least make an educated guess on if the gold dude is in there? Do they come assembled or now?

Just states that only a few hundred have been found right now. 5000 were released.

Reminds me of those people who will weigh card booster packs with a scale at the store to figure out which contain rarer (typically heavier) cards. I'm sure both that and feeling every single minifig bag would at a store would look kind of strange!

In both cases if the manager realizes what you're doing,  they probably tell you to gtfo

I've done the bag feeling thing plenty of times for previous minifig series before without anyone saying anything to me.

Official mascot of the LoD? Perhaps the Lego version of PC as well?
