Usually far, far, FAR moreso.  After all, everybody my age swears.  Us young twenty-somethings are a rude generation.

I guess Americans are different than us up here. In all the games I saw at the Big Oh, the worst I heard was someone saying chitt (be it in English or French) And every time anyone would say it, someone nearby would get on them for swearing in front of the kids. I've seen some pretty big guys turn pink after being put in their place by a tiny woman...

Baseball is the cause for more grumblings than any sport I know. We grumble plays the players mess up, that most in the stands wouldn't be able make on their best day. You give a baseball one great game and they expect every time after that...

I'm wondering...maybe I should just turn off the game now.  It seems that every time we have a tenuous lead and I'm sitting here watching/posting, it all goes down the tubes.

Maybe now would be a good time to go pick up my copy of The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire for a couple hours.

Man...a halfway decent offensive team would have rung this mook up for 6-7 runs by now.  We'll be lucky to get one this inning.  VERY lucky.

But Nick's our best hope!  Go NJ!

I hate this Nissan Pathfinder commercial.  It's so obvious that it's not that guy's voice.  Whoever's voice it is sounds like a tool.  And the guy whose voice it's supposed to be LOOKS like a tool

Drese has let the leadoff man get on every inning save the first, it seems (that's probably not accurate, but it feels like it).  He's playing with fire and I worry that's only a matter of time before the Nats get burned.

In case anybody didn't know, Pedro Astacio came into this game 2-10 and end ERA over 6 runs.  Yes, we have 4 hits and 2 runs through 6 inning.

Also, I hope at least once this weekend San Diego goes an inning without a baserunner.

Isn't it sad when we are happy when the opponent pich hits for a 2-10 pitcher?

Games aren't won or lost with paper stats... Besides those numbers don't include any games against the Nats and their MIGHTY HITTING lineup

My life is on hold until I move at the end of August to Chicago to begin law school.  Then 'life' resumes in a strange new city...just as the Nats come to Washington.

I'll be wearing my blue "W" cap proudly in the Windy City, tho', and I'll be catching any games the Nats play against the Cubbies or ChiSox.

(The way this game is going, it seems fitting to start casting one's eyes to "Next Year" anyway.  I just don't think we're going to have quite enough gas to make it to the postseason this year.)

I'm enjoying these games, one at a time.  Next year will come soon enough.

Good Luck in Chicago Esoteric.  Was there last year and as far as big cities go it's one of the best.  Wrigley is a blast...but don't be tempted - stay true to your team.

"Tony?"  I'm away from the game right now.  Tony WHO?  I know of no Tony on our team except for Dizzy Blanco.
