His ERA was 3.00.  One of the runs was unearned.

Hence my 2nd line. Unearned is stupid. His RA was 4.5

Again, I wouldn't be surprised if they go back and change that to a hit.  Just speculation.

Regardless, Olsen pitched well and I'm sure he could've gone another inning (if not coming back from injury/rain delay).

Like I said, he's a major league starter. He needs to be back next year.

Healthy Olsen, Strasburg, Zimmermann, Detwiler and Marquis with a deal offered to Livan to take Batista's role from this year would be very nice.  Let Martin/Chico etc. hold down the fort at AAA, convert Stammen/Atilano to the pen and make guys like Meyers and the arms behind him force their way into consideration for the rotation.

Yeah I've said all along, Stammen should be in the pen.  That way he can just focus on an inning or two rather than going 6-7 innings.  His sinker/curve would work nice out of the pen.

I agree with all the other names, but will keep Wang/Maya in mind as well.

Are they ever going to announce the Maya signing or what? What is the hold up?

I saw El Duque threw an inning for the GCL Nats today.

He is coming from another country.

Do you have any idea how long it can take to get a work visa and get all the papers signed?

Good gosh, do you have any patience for anything, ever? (Rhetorical, obviously)

So Olsen pitched a good game? I was following stats on my phone. Did he look comfortable? Id like to see him come back strong.

His idea of "international travel" is visiting Maryland.

First two innings he recorded five groundball outs.

Were they well placed balls or were they lucky groundballs to get out of jams?

I hope he brings his K pitch to the next game. Just glad we have another MLB pitcher back in the rotation.

First inning was 1-2-3.

Second inning he went 1-2, gave up two singles and then got a flyout.

He was sharp.

Looked like his stuff wasn't his best but his location, especially the first two innings, was excellent.

Is this game going to start back up anytime soon?

Just stopped raining here in Falls Church after about 30-40 minutes of heavy rain & thunder and lightning.

Great to know. Thanks! At least some good news to come for this team. Hopefully its followed by a W today if this game ever starts.

Rain has been over here in Silver Spring since 40 minutes ago.

He's learning English so he can hold a better presser.

I'm gonna ask a question I should already know the answer to, but how long does a game have to go to be considered complete? Not that they aren't going to complete this one, because they are, I'm sure.

His first words? "I'm glad the Nationals listened to ASSCLOWN and signed me."

4 1/2 innings if the home team is on top, otherwise 5 innings is an official game

It's an official game already.

I believe it's 5 innings.
