The Nats offense didn't really take off until Werth got back. :stir:

Nay - it was when Ryan got his shot

It's all about the post cortisone world ...

All :stir: aside, this is correct.  Werth in the leadoff spot turned this offense around.

The splits give the most dramatic edge to team performance pre/post cortisone.

Stats are stoopid.  Just ask Chief.  He agrees with me.  :stir:

They scored a ton of runs when Espinosa and Lombardozzi started every day together in July and early August.  In the 24 games Desmond was out, they scored 6 or more runs 10 times.  They averaged 5.4 runs per game.  on the season, they've averaged 4.6 runs per game.

Any time Desmond wasn't playing the offense noticeably suffered.

Yeah I guess saying that it suffered was the wrong word. But the Nats really never 'suffered' all season. Espinosa and Lombo did fill in admirably, but one or the other seemed to go cold at times. I guess I just meant to say he left a big hole in the lineup. It's a nice credit to the Nats bench that they could lose such a key contributor and still win. But I for one was counting the days until we got Desmond back. Lineup just seems a lot more solid with him in it.

They could always just leave this immature, punk ass GEEK off of the playoff roster to teach him a lesson in respect.

HE SHOULDN'T BE ON THE PLAYOFF ROSTER ... HE DOESN'T HELP US WIN GAMES.  HIS ATTITUDE IS SO BAD.

I'm getting so damned tired of heads-up play and kick-ass base running. Send him down.
