Hey, for any of those who play MLB 2K9 for any system, they released the ratings (in a really scrambled way) for some players on each team..

I just enjoy playing baseball games as well and got psyched. If anyone played last years, the player ratings this year are alot lower in comparison to last years so don't frown upon the low ratings (the nationals are actually decent compared to other players)

Not bad but they didn't do any research on players. Guzman has the same power rating as Dukes!

ugh...i wish i had a ps3. the show is so much better, but 2k9 looks decent this year.

the ratings are god-awful across the board

Yea, the show seems so much better but Im usually an avid online player in 2k9 for online leagues and usually go with the Nats if it isnt a draft league.

In the game Ryan Zimmerman has a power rating of 90, which is extremely good... I wonder how he got that? His rating is even with Adam Dunn and they're both higher than Vlad! Its silly.

2k8 let me down. I'll still purchase 2k9 but i won't be expecting much.

Never played the show but only hear good things from it, so Im with AZ on this one, MVP was amazing.

Even though its a game and not reality, Im looking forward to play with Zimmerman in this game, hes rediculous! 90 power, more than Prince Fielder!! hahah, and his fielding is awesome! His contact is a 70 which is great as well... I wonder where they based his stats off of!

MLB 2K8 is the best baseball game I've ever played. Better than MVP, IMO. I don't like that they "simplified" the pitching and the hitting, but I'm most definitely going to get it as soon as it comes out.

And don't worry about the player ratings. Those will be updated weekly based on performance.

mlb 2k8 was god-awful

wow. i mean its all about opinion, but 99% of the people i've talked to about the game hated it

the gameplay was awful, and anytime you missed a pitch, it was an automatic hit or home run. throwing a ball was impossible
there was no hit variety, it was choppy, just...bad

Hmm. I never had those problems. Throwing the ball was no problem for me, hit control was pretty on-point, and I didn't give up a home run every time I missed a pitch. I loved the game.

I hated 2K8. I have the Show, but picked up 2K8 at Target for like $19.99. It was terrible compared to the Show. I traded it in at GameCrazy after few days.

i mean, once i got some sliders it was playable, but i didn't have nearly the amount of fun as i did with MVP

MLB The Show is the best baseball franchise period.

their ratings are more realistic as well. 2k's player ratings and rosters are random as freak.

MLB The Show roster updates every week(they update rosters, but not player ratings), plus it is just an overall better game in nearly every aspect.

MLB 2K9 will update its rosters every day/week now aswell.

2k8 was just frame rate issues and was pretty crappy IMO... then again online and lag was a problem, offline I didn't mind it to much but I think 2k9 is going to be pretty awesome.

They fixed both of those problems. I can't wait to play it.

EA sports always produced solid baseball video games. First it was Triple Play that was awesome (cmdterps, remember we used to freak around where one team would allow the ball roll to the fence while the player batting would run the bases and right in between second and third, the defender would pick up the ball and throw home for a play at the plate hahahaha). Then MVP, most notably MVP Baseball '05, which may be one of my top 5 games of all-time. Ken Griffey Jr Baseball was pretty good ... and for the old-timers, RBI Baseball series was decent.

I, too, play MLB 2K8 and it's a good one.

I used to play Triple Play. One time I played as the team I wanted to lose, took manual control of the fielders, and screwed up in every way imaginable. I was able to let the good guys score 109 runs.

2k8 was pretty bad, I'd give it a C-. Online play gets an F without a doubt, it was absolutely miserable. I'll get 2k9, but I don't have high expectations. They had better not charge 60 freaking dollars.

This game looks awesome though, funny how Kearns is batting 4th infront of NJ AND starting ahead of Dukes

Anybody try these games on a PSP? I noticed the new slim PSPs can be hooked up to t.v. pretty easily. I travel all the time was thinking of getting one and a football and baseball game.

Ugh, even games hate us. They didn't do research on our park, the left field wall is 2x the size it is

It was like this in last years game but i let it slide cause it just opened, but not changing it? that sucks. aw well.
