I don't think that's been said, and Strasburg has been stretched out to the 110s lately.

I can see him getting a complete game very easily. He just needs to keep his pitch count down below 110 or so, like you said. Not easy to do but Stras can do it.

Bummer. Hope to see you around sometimes.

This place is great, I won't be lost to the site, just not online during games

I'll be able to stick around for day games and some of the weekend ones as well, but watching the game with nowhere to vent will be tough

Sorry to hear that, man. When I lived in England I could only post for day games too, and it was sad. We'll miss you round these parts.

Strasburg being "stretched out" to 110 pitches is a very bad thing.  Recovery from long outings is one of the most difficult things when coming back from TJS.  Last start was fine for 110 because he had two extra days rest.  This start is five days after a 110 pitch start.  It should be well under a 100 pitches.

No more game day threads for me, hours for my new job have changed so I have to try void scores all day and then come home and watch the game.

Sad times ahead

A cool board feature would be the ability to bookmark a thread based on the half inning, and then allow comments to be added within the context of that half inning, so that those of us who often watch on the DVR will be able to participate after the fact.

It's obvious that more folks need to retire or quit their jobs.

Do you have a source for this?  I don't know that I've ever heard this before.

That recovery from long outings is one of the most difficult things when coming back from TJS.  It might well be true, I've just never heard that anywhere before and was curious if you had a reference for that.  The main thing that I had heard was supposed to plague Tommy John comebacks was control; that hasn't seemed to be much of an issue for Stras or JZimm though.

Yes, I have a source.   I just disagreed, vehemently, with it because it wasn't put into proper context.  Yes, I referenced it and disagreed with it at the same time. :)

I read it after his last start and it was about his pitch count in games as opposed to the innings limit.  It mentioned the 110+ pitch count in two of his last three outings without referencing the outing in the middle of the two, his pitch count was 89 and that his last outing occurred with two extra days rest.

I'll try to find it.

In my last job I could watch games at work and get away with it but in the real world it's not possible

I can listen to them most of the time, I suspect quite a few folks can while working. The joys of telecommuting. Granted if it during a customer visit, conference, or workshop, forget it.

Lol I get yelled at nightly because I change the bar TV(at my restaurant) and watch the Nats games.  Worth it.

I warned them this would happen at the start of baseball season.

Yes, they will be watching his pitch count very closely tonight. I bet he doesn't go over 90.

I'd love to see a crazy photoshop like him riding off on the back of a giant eagle after dancing or something like that
