Kennedy already lifted, no other backup except Pudge.

Morse would be helpful in this situation.

One more to go!

The ball hit Dunn in the glove with his foot on the bag.  Any decent 1B gets that.

Awesome!

Dibble nominees - Willingham, Batista, Capps.  That was a tough save.  Had to get 4 outs in a 1 run game.

The Pirates are absolutely freaking stupid.  Capps has been great this year.

Throw wasn't good, but the ball was in the glove with his foot on the bag.  He dropped the ball, errors gotta be on Dunn.

It wasn't a good throw but Dunn still should've had it. That should've been an easy play but Zimmerman freaked it up.

We win though.

I was afraid of what would happen to the Nats the day Clippard would make his first huge mistake.

Never did I imagine they'd win anyway!

It was a catch able(not a perfect throw) ball, if you look at Dunn's foot it is in the middle of the bag.  He should slide over to the corner on throws up the line.  With experience Dunn will get the foot work down.

Agreed, but I still put it on Zimmerman.  You can't put that in the dirt.

Clark Griffith and Shirley Povich are smiling. Two games over .500. With Lannan and Marquis hurt, with only three relaible relief pitchers, with ??? in right...Gut team, good team.

(Although I'd like a few more 10-0 wins...)

Not a good throw, but an easily catchable throw that any first baseman should have.  1B aren't supposed to just catch ones that are right at them.

Great win!  If you look at Capps he was unlucky last year and he was a steal of a pickup.  This team might be able to contend if we can get RF sorted out, another reliever, and Strasburg and Storen get up.
