ok, we should be able to knock Vargas around. he's straight power, all fastball, and changeup.

I wish there was a way to boot him out from game threads for misbehaving :?

Did you guys hear the stat about Colome regarding only having retired the first batter he faces in 9 of his 17 appearances? That is mind boggling.

and i still think we are going to retaliate to maine's retaliation last night. we're just waiting for the right moment to do so...

here's what maine said last night regarding hitting felipe on the first freaking pitch of the game:

Quote
A night after Mets starter Nelson Figueroa called the Nationals “softball girls” for cheering in the dugout during his loss, Maine (5-2) hit Felipe Lopez with his first pitch of the game. The ball grazed Lopez’s right leg but the leadoff hitter angrily threw his bat in front of the plate and briefly glared at Maine as he walked down first base.

Maine said he was just trying to establish the inside of the plate.

“I just got a little too inside I guess,” he said with a shrug.

Yah maybe dukes can get more hits to add to those routine flys.

NJ on his way back to Washington as we speak. I think we now know what possible move will be made to vacate a spot for Bergmann. And so it goes :?

Interesting lineup, why no Milledge? Anyway, when is the game scheduled to start? It is near midnight and I do have college in the morning!

That sucks. Figures, I just posted posted yesterday that we would be much worse if the oft-injured Hill, NJ, or Guz got hurt.

apparently, acta wants to see what dukes can do out there in center. one begins to ponder if they are thinking about making dukes the center fielder and moving millz to right where he's more suited for.

He needs that day off, especially since he's trying to do too much against his former club. I bet we wait to retaliate until tomorrow. That's a nag move if you ask me. I would rather do it while there's time to settle the beef. Of course the fact that Figueroa has been DFA's since the incident makes it

no, YOU begin to ponder.

jesus christ just shut up already, we get it. you love dukes and think he's the greatest player to ever swing a bat. damn.  we get it already. we really do. there is no reason to overdo it.

We really need a win tonight. After a decent winning spell, we have teetered perilously close to 10 games under .500, and a poor end to this series could end our season, if it is still alive at all.

Redding clearly holds the advantage over Vargas, we just need the offense to show some of the talent that was on display in the first game.

Depends on whether there is a delay in the picture. I would much prefer to listen to the radio team but they are usually a couple seconds ahead of the TV.

Vargas is very hittable. we need to jump on him early, pound him and force the issue when it comes to the Mets Bullpen.
