I hope this doesn't piss off more potential fans than it attracts.

So the $1 food is not available throughout the ball park?  Regular prices everywhere else, for the exact same hot dogs, peanuts, etc?  How many sections and what are the lines like?
 :$$$: :pimp:

The idea of a promotion like this is that they make money selling you beer and sodas and other stuff. Fast food restaurants make money off the fries and sodas.

John Lannan is going to need about 7 or 8 runs of support to win this game cuz he's going to give up a lot, I fear.

It shouldn't...it was announced before the game that there were only select stands that were selling $1 dogs/popcorn/etc

True, but some messages are hard to communicate. It wasn't "$1 hot dogs in section 1, 2, and 3", it was "$1 hot dogs."

Seriously, every pitch he throws, I get a bit more depressed.

If not for the old fart in front of me crying about Keith Hernandez I'd probably be asleep and I'm at the game...

Ray Knight "what was so bad about it was it pins his elbow against his body, so it absorbs every bit of the shock...."

Ray, his arm was pinned against the ultimate shock absorber. That's probably what saved him. :)

Bob almost makes it sound as if LaRoche did more on that play than Desmond.

Awful, poor pitcher

SF used to jock Lannan big time. Now that Lannan turned 26 he's singing a different tune.   :lmao:

It looked like it might rain. Washingtonians, even with tickets, stay home.

That was a sweet play. I thought LaRoche's part in the play was rather easy compared to Desmond's, though.

(Carp was saying good play by Desmond but really good play by LaRoche)

It's two old fart yinzers talking great Pirates.  One kept dipping his $1 hot dog in his beer and saying "Keith Hernandez was the greatest."

Plus the $8 or whatever it costs in "service fees." Drives me nuts.
