Rendon (pronounced Rendin by the Tigers pbp man) singles and then scores on a McClouth double.

That is how it's pronounced in English. I have no idea where this tex-mex version of Rend(own) came from. Now I've seen a couple times they've used an "ó" in his name which is just stupid.

Maybe because he's Tex-Mex, and he gets to say how his name is pronounced?

Or maybe he didn't? He just went along with it.

You have evidence of that? He pronounces his name Rendin?

Or maybe he didn't? He just went along with it.

There was an article that said something along those lines not too long ago.

Some people get seriously pissed off when a person incorrectly says a Hispanic name or even phrase :(
I'd like to hear how Anthony pronounces it now though.

If I didn't I wouldn't be telling you "he just went along with it". And yes that is how WE pronounce our name in English. Frankly, I don't care how it's pronounced I was just simply stating the Tigers pbp guy wasn't incorrect. They've been doing that since high school so we've grown on it and sometimes use it that way ourselves. I just hope this "ó" thing doesn't become a trend.

I believe the sentiment was that it's cool either way. I tried to find it, but I can't.

Lol it's fine however they want to say it. Neither is correct or incorrect I guess since it is a Spanish word. Just please don't change the spelling lol.

I always said Rendin; but since everything is Rendown I assumed that's how it was said.  You're saying that he says Rendin?
