:atilano:

Somehow a beach ball doesn't seem like enough.

I guess we'll see what the kid is made of during his next start.

Every successive loss is the worst loss of the season, because it's the most recent one but the totality of the situation, by any calculation, makes this one pretty bad.

Well at least Grey's Anatomy starts soon :)

I really like that show. Didn't think I would.

They pulled Bernadina and not Nyjer? You have to be kidding me

In order to put the pitcher in Bernadina's spot in the lineup, which is last starting this inning.  Now, you have Morse batting second, instead of the pitcher's slot in 3rd which is where it would be if Morgan had been pulled.

You could have moved Bernadina to center and put Morse at right. That's what I was trying to say

that was one of the worst starting pitching performances i've seen.

would really like to see him replaced in the rotation.

This team deserves to lose tonight. Maybe this will light a fire under their asses.

Well, that preference is certainly not based on performance thus far.

By VORP, Atilano +5.3, Stammen  -3.5, below replacement level.  Not sure what you're seeing here.

You've watched them both play and you honestly think Atilano should stay over Stammen?

But you can't move Bernadina in the lineup, and they wanted that spot for the pitcher.  That's the whole point of the double switch.

It's not about watching them play. It's about stats.  :lmao:

Yes, he's outperformed Stammen this season, even with laying a big turd today.

I friend of mine from South Africa went to this game tonight. His first one. Probably not going to become a Nats fan.

I wasn't thinking about that at the time. This game has caused me to run to the liquor cabinet

I still think if they put in Oliver Perez, the Nats would still have a chance
