By the way, per Peter Kerzel at MASN, the lower seeded team gets the first two games at home in the division series round.  That would be the 3d best division winner v. the second, and the wild card winner v. the best record.

I found the MLB site useless on this point, and the Yahoo article only referenced the wild card winner as hosting.  Pretty lousy writing.
