My boy Evan Beal is at the opening ceremonies today and said that everything is unreal, from the facilities to the hotel to the ladies.

And the rain.  Opening ceremonies, at least to the public, were washed out.

Drew Storen is supposed to be the first guest on the local radio show doing their special pregame leading up to the first game of the day.  Should be able to listen to it here: http://player.streamtheworld.com/_players/nrgmedia/player_gla1.php?callsign=KOZNAM

No chance I'd live where clouds look like that. Scary.

One of my favorite things about living here.  Serious.

As far as I can tell, the Nats only have one draftee playing in the CWS:

Robert Benincasa - Florida State - RHP

Florida up on SC 2-0 in the 4th. I think S. Carolina has won 21 straight post-season games including 11 straight in Omaha?

Business trip to Omaha timing worked out well. If I can get away from work, looks like some CWS games with my old man. :mg:

Have some friends that are USC fans down there.  They go every year and have especially enjoyed the last two.  Just hope FSU can pull something amazing out after dropping that first one.

This game is fun to watch. Stanek has good stuff for sure, lacks polish though.

I wouldn't call it an upset, but South Carolina had their 22 game post season win streak snapped.  Arkansas was a top 5 team preseason and last night we saw why.

Florida losing to Kent St was the upset.

Attempted to attend last nights game, at least I got to see my Dad and one of my sisters. I am going to try again for tonight's 8pm game.

Yeah, that was something last night. Triple headers are crazy.  I can't remember them having one any of the years I worked there.  Evidently they had one last year that I forgot about.

Oh, and if you know of any reasonably priced tickets for Sunday, I'm looking for 2...

I think I remember a couple although they go back to when I was still in school.

So far I haven't come across any tickets for Sunday but will let you know if I do.
