Werth can't even routinely ground a ball out there.

Seriously.  Grass is not meant to release little dust clouds every time a ball bounces.  It looks like they're playing on a trampoline.

Seriously, you guys are getting on Werth for not knowing the ball would take a right goddam turn after it bounced?  Chill!

And, re the discussion about the field and its impact on the Angels success, I think playing on a ... err ... idiosyncratic field is an advantage because they'll get used to the idiosyncracies playing 81 games there, while the opposition won't.

The Angles piling up the hits against the Nats again. We can't handle these high contact, high BA offenses.

Left him in way too long. Not sure what he was thinking having him pitch another inning. He should have been grateful that he got what he did from Coffey prior to this inning.

He can dominate and it won't matter because Haren (who has struggled lately) will bounce back and shut us down.

We're terrible. Our pitching hasn't been good lately. We've been getting lucky and playing with fire. It's caught up to us. We won't sniff a winning record again.

And you were certainly at the front of the line begging for him to be taken out... wait... that didn't happen, did it.

This is called regression, guys.  After an extended stretch where the bullpen posts a 0.91 ERA or so, it can be hard to stomach.

This entire road trip has been an exhibition of bad pitching.

Yeah... I understand when spoprtsfan rants about players that are really just plain bad (god knows the Nats have enough of them) but ranting about a rookie catcher for not being a premium offensive guy and deciding based on that that he's not major-league caliber JESUS FLORES is just silly.

FIXED.

8th   A Callaspo singled to left, V Wells scored, H Kendrick to second.

Nationals  5
Angels      7

Amen. Oh well I officially think this game is over and I usually don't throw in the towel until the last out. But this game just doesn't feel like it's gonna go our way. And really hasn't since the Morse DP in the very first inning.
