Been to Rockaway and Far Rockaway. Lot's of folks think that's Brooklyn or LI (non-NYC).

My father's mother lived in Far Rockaway for about 13 years, apartment on Seagirt Boulevard. I knew the area well, but I have not been to Far Rockaway since she died in 1995 (passing over on an inbound Concorde doesn't count) and I don't really have a desire to go back. It's a rough area. She had lived in Bay Ridge prior to moving out there but she complained that her landlord didn't provide enough heat. I always thought the move was a mistake.
