Errors are deadly.

Missed calls at first are pretty bad too.  Ask Armando Galarraga.

How about doing it next time?
I'm not gonna speculate on what may or may not happen later in the game or series, I can only comment on what's already happened.  The kid's making his debut, put some pressure on him.  He made the play, now we've got an idea of what he can do.

Is Batista warming up yet? If we get 4 IP out of Atilano today I'll be satisfied.

Missed? Umpires punish players for a bobble.

This is pathetic. Morgan gives away an out that would've resulted in a run. Kennedy sucks balls at 2B to extend the inning. And Atilano is dropping a deuce on the mound.

Really? I had no clue that the fans picked the pitchers... oh, that's right they don't.

Ass.

You're right, managers pick whomever they want, take guys who are having the half season of their lives, and often have to take guys just to make sure each team has a rep between the pitchers and bench.  It's utterly meaningless hence Jason Marquis, Zack Duke and Edwin Jackson just last year.

Manny is going to sweep us (Strasburg will pitch great Sunday but our offense will get owned), I can feel it.

I don't know what prompted Riggleman to start Kennedy today.  Morse is no more likely to commit errors and he'll hit better than Kennedy.

Gotta wonder if for a young pitcher, though, the errors really get into his head. "I have to pitch better to get out of this....'

Morgan, Kennedy, and the Umps are at it again.  I'm so mad I can't even see straight right now.

Guess we'll have to wait and see if he improves in the next couple of innings.

Willie Harris and Adam Kennedy is like having two pitchers in the lineup.  Two really bad hitting pitchers in the lineup.   >:(

I hope Riggleman notes that this combination of players should NEVER be used again.

Atilano had Kearns 0-2 and then he tried to get cute.  I can't stand when pitchers with marginal ability waste pitches.  Just keep attacking.

That's what I loved about Strasburg (or stud pitchers in general). WHen he had batters 0-2 he went right at them and got them the hell out of the batter's box and back to the dugout. But then again Strasburg has considerably more than marginal ability.

If we had a beat writer with some balls, one of them would ask Riggleman why he opened a series with such an atrocious lineup.

To add insult to injury, after such a promising 1st inning turned to crap, we have to watch Harris and Kennedy make outs in the top of the 2nd.  This is torture.
