Big pitch by Hanrahan to get out of that inning.
That is the frustrating thing
He has lights-out stuff, he just lacks confidence.

Hanrahan did fine there. For the rest of the season, he shouldn't come in w/ anyone on base. He's much better when he has control over the whole inning.

crazy. As bad as he pitched there, he gets out of it. Who do we go to if we get a lead?

Personally I would opt to put Shell out there.  Manning is too unreliable when it is more than a batter or two and, well, we all know about Ayala.

I hate to say it but we're bound to see Colome or Ayala.

Guzman got us good I think. He's going to pull a Dmitri on us.

it's a little early to definitively declare this, but I would not be surprised at all.  my inclination was to trade him while his value was high.

I disagree with this, especially when you take into account the entire season, not just the last few games since the injury.

He was productive for 1/2 of a season out of 4 he was here. I know we basically had no choice but to keep him but I'm afraid he won't be nearly as productive the next 2 years.

god what a horrible freaking inning with the meat of the order due up. Pitiful.

Time for Colome to get his ass beat by Mike Rivera and the bottom of their order.

Nats Fans, let us Pray:

*bows head*

Please Lord Jesus/Allah/Buddha/whoever else gets worshipped in here,  let Colome get through this half-inning without giving up any runs.

Amen.

If he's going to blow it I hope he does it quickly so I can turn to the NFL network to watch some football.

Why in the freaking hell do we keep getting burned by their #8 hitting back-up catcher?

I can't wait until the day, if it ever comes, when we're purged of all the garbage pitchers and position players.

He's pulling a Nieves.
