How is the produce? The thing I hate most about winter is the crappy produce.
Don't buy anything at Aldi that isn't packaged, unless you like off-brand bananas from unusual countries.
Most everything is in a box, but they save a bundle by stocking off-brand or aldi brand. The Aldi brand stuff is high quality. It's a German chain, and you can tell. In Europe they carry steeply discounted electronics, too.

, but some people are willing to drive like 40 miles for Aldi.
