It's so empty here now you can hear the band from the Bullpen...

At least there's still some nice 20-something cleavage in the next section over. And my wife went to the loo so I can keep abreast of the scenery.

I am going to tomorrow's game and was planning on entering at the Home Plate gate for once, but now you're telling me that that's the gate with the security delays?  That's so weird; I totally thought the Center Field gate would be the bad one.  Can anyone tell me if the First Base gate is open or closed?  If it's open, what was the security like there tonight?

Al Quaeda in a Duck Boat has got me loling.  I'm also imagining Benny Hill music.

So Espi is slumping big time but he seems to be fine physically.  What's the best way to get a guy out of a slump like that?

If you're a STH just go through the STH gate in CF and you'll be fine.  They didn't ask us to do anything out of the norm.

Now I can hear cell phones ringing on the other side of the stadium and the crappy band at the bullpen.

I'm not an STH anyway, but walking.....

Ah crap. C'mon man!!!!! And then they pinch hit up six runs?

Anyway, even if we had season tickets we'd use the home plate gate because we park on that side as it is cheaper.

In-stadium cameramen have a talent for finding the jiggly titties.

Corey Brown looks like he might be one of Bryan Adams illegitimate children...

I'm not sure this game day thread went the minimum distance.

I'm not a STH so I will have to go through the main entrances with the rest of the rabble.  Which one is my best bet for minimal security hassles?  I don't want them throwing out my chapstick :(

I'm not sure this game day thread went the minimum distance.

It's the second-shortest GDT of the year, trailing only the five-page GDT for the most recent Mets home finale (Sunday 4th September)...guess most of the regulars must have been at the ballpark.

In-stadium cameramen have a talent for finding the jiggly titties.

What I was referring to was that they were panning the crowd whilst playing that "Everybody Dance Now" thing. The cameramen's priority was clear enough.

As a STH I've gone through the STH gates a couple dozen times over the past couple years and haven't been challenged to prove my STH status since before the ASG last year.

The screening is very inconstent so it's hard to predict. But they didn't make make anybody empty their pockets so just put the chapstick in there. They were uptight about bags and liquids, I can tell you that. Just be patient and you'll be fine.

If I had to guess the best gate not to be hassled, I would actually go to the one with the longest lines. It's counterintuitive,I know, but if there's a long line they feel pressured to not be so thorough. That's my two cents anyway...

just got back from the park, horrible game on just about every level - fielding, hitting, pitching you name it  The only highlight was Zimm's play at 3rd.

The most frustrating thing though were aisle seats in 129 - the best section in the ballpark to watch a game IMHO, but I was on the left side aisle (closest to home) and the never-ending traffic of people going to/from seats, and vendors, interrupted my sight-line to home plate.  I felt as if I could barely watch the game.  Arghhhhh!   Still, given the tickets were only $25 on stubhub, I shouldn't complain.

Oh, and on our way out of the yards we did what we always do, go past the players entrance to see if we can see anyone.  We pulled past the entrance just as J-Zimm had stopped in his pickup to sign autographs.  Tom Milone came out behind him with his girlfriend at the wheel.  Todd Coffey pulled up along side after we turned onto S. Capital.  And I think CMW pulled up alongside as well in a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, with the window down and a cigarette in his mouth (though I'm not entirely sure it was him.

why did they let Maya hit for himself in the 3rd?  With all the bullpen help I didn't understand why they wouldn't pinch hit and go to Gorzy or Bally early.
