we have brought major changes to this team... look at the rotation, 4 of the 5 guys in it weren't there last year.
yeah I like that but there are still more changes to be made (GM, Manager, Kearns, Cabrera, etc..).

I've never understood what was so good about knocking the Mets out of first place.

I thought the point was to win games, not make other teams lose, Adam.

Yeah that is probably the dumbest of those spots. I'm glad Verizon blocks most of those commercials. The idea of deriving satisfaction out of the fact that a team is not winning when your team is in the cellar is idiotic. The first time I saw that particular commercial I thought it was one of the members here.

That means nothing to me.

It probably means about as much as Nats fans wanting Acta fired.

There's a lesson in there somewhere.
On the O's board they have a 26 page thread titled "What did DT (Dave Trembley) do wrong tonight?"

the win/loss record speaks for itself.

We have had an awful record and have been knocked out of contention by May every year under Acta.

omg, Willingham is an atrocious OFer. Why did he just stand there?

So terrible at reading balls off the bat.

How is that not an error? :?

shut the freak up Dibble. That ball is a routine fly ball for any normal OFer.

The only difference is that Trembley can actually manage.

If it isn't ruled an error it will be because he was on the run. But you naged about the ruling on Zimmerman's error last night?  :?

the ball took a nasty hop on him. That was a tough play that he normally makes but most 3B-men botch like that routinely.

Willingham clearly misjudged that ball. He should have been going backwards from the onset.

How pathetic! You walk the number eight guy to face the pitcher. A real manager would've wanted the pitcher to lead off the next inning.

Luckily, Manny's decision did not result in a run.

So you're one of the posters who believes with Trembley at the helm the Nats' bullpen would not have blown all those games?

I agree that they should've pitched to the number 8 hitter. If you can't get that hitter out you have no business at this level.

No it didn't.

That actually supports the error ruling.

No, no. This was going to be a losing team regardless this season.

Acta just makes terrible decisions all the time.  Those decisions can be the difference between having a playoff team and having a team that just barely misses the playoffs.

I was about 200 feet away from Zimm last night when that happened. That ball was smashed. No way that should of been an error.

And that last popout by Zimmerman should be ruled a hit.

I also saw a 'Let Teddy Win' t-shirt last night.

I agree, until Teddy wins, we're cursed.

Wait, now I know why Teddy never wins.  He's fat!.  He's out of shape.  The other three are all fit and trim.  A workout program for Teddy would do him good.
