I can see how one could be annoyed. I tend to view it as a good thing, at least she recognizes the importance of the game rather than the alternative. If she starts out not understanding what it means to you, it only spells trouble down the road.
Ah the sensitive perspective. I get your point but after they've been told that it's annoying and that they don't score extra points for feigning interest it becomes a point of contention in itself.
