Ummmm ... don't look know, but since being moved to the number 7 spot in the order, Desmond is hitting .300

He has 10 hits in his last 30 at bats.

Why did they take JZ out so early?

Because his control was suspect. Or did you miss the slider that ended up in the batter's box?

Davey Johnson has no sense of how to manage a game.

Considering I haven't watched the game at all... I think a simple "control was suspect" was all that was needed.

That is an absurdly small sample size.

True, but it shows that he's getting better?

H-Rod is still as good as ever at inflating other pitcher's ERAs.
True, but it shows that he's getting better?
Not really.  It just tells us he's been good in his last 30 at-bats.

Terrible fundamental hitting and terrible fundamental fielding. This is getting old.

Zimmermann should've been given the chance to finish that inning, Davey is just making stupid decisions.

I actually think he was probably right to take out Zimm'nn there.  My issue is with his decision to put H-Rod in with runners on base.

so i said while H-Rod was ripping apart the braves that he couldn't do it when we needed him.. it's pretty obvious he is no good

But he may get out of this with no earned runs, which I believe would qualify as a "good" outing by the system devised in the thread about him...
