If you're trying to use guys efficiently and stay off of Burnett and Clippard so much. Maybe try not bringing guys in for one batter? Playing the match ups hasn't been too effective.
I wouldn't say it was ineffective today. An inning that started with the first two batters getting a free pass ended with only one run given up. That could have been a LOT worse. Without H-Rod in that inning no runs score and the only baserunner is the walk that Stammen issued.
