Hmm, I checked the Playstation store and I didn't see any way to download the beta.

I may be mistaken then. It's still closed to those who played MOH:LE, I believe, so that may be why.

You know what I miss?  Multiplayer FPS games with bots.  Nobody ever puts bots in their games anymore, which makes it really difficult to have an enjoyable team-game with a very small group of people.  Bots are a big part of the reason I still play UT04.

I agree. I really liked that aspect of BF2, because I could mess around on the maps and learn them without getting destroyed in multiplayer.

Loving BF3 so far. I'm still getting used to the controls (haven't played a PC FPS since at least 2007) and the game has some bugs, but god damn it's fun. And Operation Metro is apparently not even one of the good maps (like Caspian Border).

Chief, are you getting the game for PC (or at all)? The Origin>battlelog browser process isn't bad, though it's not optimal. It's pretty quick and easy to use.

Loved quake 3 with friends against bots.

Is BF3 supposed to be that way?  Seems like most modern fps are entirely based around deathmatch online play and little to no single player.

Managed to get into a Caspian Border game and h-o-l-y-s-h-i-t it's amazing. Classic BF2 feel. It was great. I am beyond pumped now. Operation Metro is meh since it's basically a COD map. Not bad, but not true Battlefield. Caspian is fantastic. Nothing like capturing a flag and then holding it with some teammates.

:lmao:

Everytime I try to make a GIF my avatar it ends up a still image like my current one. I love the Snape GIF, one of my favorites.

Oh it'll be a still image, i'm too lazy to redo the gif.  But I think with the right crop and some custom text underneath, it'd work.

The browser crap is actually annoying. I'll take a menu system over that any day. I'm definitely getting this for the 360.

I've been hiding in the bushes with a sniper rifle for about an hour. I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be doing. How the hell do you sprint?

Just go to the PS3 store and it'll be there in the demo section.

The cool kids, like me, got to play it 48 earlier than the rest of the world because we purchased that piece of crap garbage called Medal of Honor. This is the only good thing to come out of that game.

Hey, I bought that piece of crap last year but traded it in.  I had no idea something good was related to it.

Battlefield 3 is pretty awesome. I was doing bad at first and was having trouble trying to figure out recoil, enemies, etc etc but after a round or two I've gotten the hang of it. I've only played the Metro place but I like it. Definitely trying to play the other map though.
