He's cut down on his walks lately.

that's what happens when you start pitching like you have a 97 mph fastball, instead of pitching like you are scared of the hitters.

He needs to throw that fastball 60% of the time or more.

Doesn't surprise me, the whole "having him start for lefties" idea isnt working out either.

Joel needs some swagger. and I mean that seriously.

if he ever develops a "you can't hit me" attitude and the confidence in his stuff that comes with it, he'll be a good, maybe dominant closer somewhere.

Joel has the stuff, but he has no swag.

I like Zinicola, he'll be a pretty decent reliever for us, no joke.  Carr needs more time.  If we do trade Rauch, I'm not sure who our future closer will be?  No way I want Hanrahan.

The thing is, a lot of our starters in the minors - most of them having solid seasons - will either be traded or moved to the bullpen if our rotation becomes crowded over the next few years.

I'm telling you guys, I think he's slow in the head. And I'm not making fun of him. He just REALLY doesn't get it.

Even though that was a bit lucky, Lo Duca's swing is looking better these days. TRADE BAIT!
