What was the strategy for that intentional walk two batters ago? Extra fore-out or to pur another potential run on base?

Baseball Reference says the Nats sold Carroll to the Rockies for $300,000 in February, 2006. That would make 2005 his first and last season with the Nats, and make me wonder what the team did with all that money. Really, $300K for a SS who starts for the Dodgers? (Or for any ML team...)

Bowden did not consider him a starter, and sold him as a "favor" rather then releasing or demoting him. He still has 0 power. Great guy though.
