Should have been listening to McCatty - seems like he's making good sense.

7:45 first pitch.  Tarp coming off.  Might be one of those games the starters only go 3 or 4 then sit out a long delay and turn it over to the pen.

Could be worse.  Could be St. Claire in the dugout.

If a baseball game happens and no one watches, does it count towards official stats?

Scott Olsen is going to hope it doesn't.

On FSN (Marlins broadcast) it showed 1 out when Harris was still at the plate.  Must be related to Rodney.

I am 75% of the way to a SF root-against for Olsen so we can crapcan him.

...Nolasco - been better lately, almost to last year's form, but can get into deep pitch counts and turn over to a POS pen pretty early in the game.  Patience will get him out of there no later than the 6th.

I drafted Nolasco for fantasy baseball and dumped him to waivers a long time ago, with stats so bad that he'd qualify becoming a member of the Natinals rotation.  He did strike out lots of opposing batters consistently during the stinkitude.

I picked him up off waivers again for his last start.  Olsen should not have been brought back, until he similarly demonstrated he could pitch well.  Olsen's Nolasco's stats since returning from the minors:

Well I guess the picture in the first post was correct about the amount of fans in the stands.  I don't understand why Florida/Tampa don't draw better.  By all accounts there are a lot of baseball fans down there and the state produces tons of talented players.

Olsen's velocity is up a couple of ticks. it was about 87-88 earlier this season and now it's at 89-90.

Olsen is sweating like a beast - the trainers need to keep him hydrated and un-cramped

Did you ever get down to Name du Jour stadium when you lived down here?  Last week, I was sitting about 20 feet down the line from the dugout, and had a sore back and stiff neck for nearly two days twisting and turning to see the game.  If you are a contortionist, its a fine stadium.

At first I didn't recognize the name.  It was Dolphin Stadium just this past football season!  Aren't they building a real stadium for the Marlins that will open next year?  I hope so.  I really would like to see baseball sustain itself in the state.
