Yeah but how do you meet someone until you have a spot to meet them?  Doh!

Btw, my next game is Wed too.

Is anyone going on Sept 6 that DOESNT want the messenger bag?

those messenger bags have MDS the cyclist's name written all over it.  Saw him today - seemed pretty good.

I try to leave a trail of empty Pilsner Urquell cans. Coupled with a rain delay it is fairly easy to follow. ;)

Way to get it completely wrong Cap Weather Gang. It poured early, game delayed 2+ hours and cleared later.

...and as of right now Capital Weather Gang have not put up their NatCast for today (usually it's up at 08.00 at the latest).

I thought we did a commendable job dealing with difficult circumstances.  Next time I know not to try to buy 3 at a time, though.   :bang:

Finally, Capital Weather Gang NatCast for today: 'Temperatures are just right in the low-to-mid 70s. There's a slight chance of showers, but unlikely to cause anything more than a brief delay' with 73-75 at first pitch, 71-73 by ninth inning, 30% chance of rain*.

*lest we forget, their call for yesterday was '20-30% chance of rain'.

By the way, that Saturday Mets match was the second-highest draw at Nats Park ever - the new Top 10:

44,685   Saturday 20th August 2011 vs Phillies
42,662   Saturday 18th August 2012 vs Mets [highest of 2012 to date]
42,331   Saturday 19th May 2012 vs Orioles
41,985   Thursday 25th June 2009 vs Red Sox [highest of 2009]
41,918   Sunday 20th May 2012 vs Orioles
41,727   Sunday 21st August 2011 vs Phillies
41,530   Wednesday 24th June 2009 vs Red Sox
41,517   Tuesday 23rd June 2009 vs Red Sox
41,442   Sunday 17th June 2012 vs Yankees
41,406   Friday 15th June 2012 vs Yankees

...and that pushed the 2010 home opener (the Phillies invasion) out of the Top 10.

Also, we're averaging 29,994/fixture this season - a few more houses like this weekend and we'll be averaging 30k+ for only the second time since the franchise settled here.

Unless it's doing tabbies-and-golden-retrievers at my normal 18.00 departure time, I'm there for all three fixtures in this series.

True enough. The trick is to buy them in pairs.

Rain Delay folks!

...as there could well be tonight as well:

Capital Weather Gang's NatCast (finally put up on time, unlike yesterday) has 'Scattered showers and storms could trigger delays again' - 80 at first pitch, 75 by ninth inning. 40% chance of rain.

Weather.com is a bit more optimistic precip-wise - they see only 20% chance of rain through the matchnight hours.

If it really rains tonight it'll be difficult re-scheduling - this is our final home series against the Braves; we have Thursday open but the Braves don't (start away series at San Francisco that evening).

I sure hope it doesn't rain.  I'm going tonight for only my second game this season.  I saw us beat the Giants us on July 3rd.

Ugh. I was hoping to go with my dad this evening barring an emergency at work. This might make us reconsider.

Actually looks like we'll go tomorrow. Leaves me more time to pack for my move Thursday.
