A Mets fan at work has the current NL East standings on his Facebook for bragging rights

Wish I could get out there. CitiField is a hike during the week after work  :icon_frown:

sorry for losing yesterday's game.  i had an excellent start, but ironically no bats to speak of.  hmmm, i wonder why (way to improve the offense in the offseason).

we should go 2-1 this series so we're 4-2 like i said heading home.

FYI...as noted in the OP, 106.7 the Fan is [for some stupid reason] airing the Wizards tonight, so no Nats on the FM dial.  They're being bumped to 1580, another CBS station, and 1500 will also be airing it.

Pelfrey went downhill last year (fewest K/9 in MLB) and had a rough spring.  So I wouldn't be surprised if he completely dominates us, but I'm hoping it's the other way around...

Finally, a game with a proper start time.  I'll be able to listen to the game in it's entirety without having to be getting ready for and driving to work.

I hope I hope. I'd prefer sweeping those Pets so that we are at least 2 games ahead of 'em and getting in our first sweep of the season early. I hope there are many of those during this season. They have been kind of rare with this club when we need them.

I won't have any chance to listen to the game tonight  :( I've got a major lab due Sunday that will probably dominate my life all week.

A Mets fan just texted me that Pelfrey is the worst pitcher to ever wear a Mets uniform.  But he used to say the same thing about Heilman, so methinks he is prone to grandiosity in dissing his own team.

Everyone knows Steve Traschel deserves that honor.  Pelfrey is awful but he'll look like a legitimate SP tonight.
