_______________________________________ ______________

Redding continues to show that he is the Nationals' best pitcher in the second half.
He pitched six-plus innings and gave up two runs on three hits against the Phillies
on Wednesday. Acta went so far as to say that Redding is helping himself become a
fixture in the rotation. Humble as always, Redding downplayed the fact that he is
making a case to stay with the Nationals.

Jennings is winless in August, after a losing effort on Wednesday in Los Angeles. The
right-hander blew a 3-1 lead by allowing three runs in the sixth, including a Russell
Martin two-run shot. The general consensus among teammates and management was
that Jennings, who gave up one runs and had a low pitch count through five, pitched
well enough to win. Jennings last faced the Nationals in Washington on July 18, allowing
seven runs over five innings in a losing effort.

If we can't beat somebody with a 2-8 record with a 6.16 ERA then I GIVE UP!!!

He also has a 1.52 WHIP...

Agreed.  Earlier in the season at RFK we absolutely hammered him: 5 IP 8 H 7 R 7 ER 1 HR 4 BB 2 SO (Loss).

Nationals VS Jennings (career):
Lopez 6/14
Belliard 2/8 2 doubles
Church 3/7 1 double
Kearns 3/13 2 doubles
Schneider 2/11 1 double
Young 9/13 2 doubles, 1 HR
Zimmerman 1/6
