More about the pitchers
John Lannan: The Nationals placed closer Chad Cordero on the disabled list on Friday night and recalled left-hander John Lannan, who will pitch against the Cardinals on Sunday at Busch Stadium. The Nationals needed a fifth starter because they didn't want right-hander Tim Redding to throw on short rest. Lannan was the Nationals' best pitcher during Spring Training, going 2-0 with a 2.18 ERA in five games. He was the Nationals' Minor League pitcher of the year in 2007.
Kyle Lohse: Lohse did everything that was asked of him in his Cardinals debut, pitching five shutout innings against a good Rockies club. His limited work in spring contributed to his being removed without facing a batter in the sixth, but he should build up his innings and pitches quickly. Lohse had a rough time against Washington last year, allowing 15 earned runs in 16 2/3 innings over five outings (three starts).
My Thoughts: Lets get one win on the road and also all you Nats fan (yes of courese me to) This could be a game were we find out what kind of potential Our Minor League Pitcher of Year had. Also please win I don't want to be 3-4.
Prediction: 4-3 Nats Lannan goes 6.2
