First-glance notables:

P Jordan Zimmerman
P Colton Willems

Willems was one of two first-rounders in 2006, would have expected him to advance farther, especially since Jordan was a second-rounder THIS year.

It's humorous that they announce rosters a day before Opening Day (I'll be there)

Zimmerman was the 2nd rounder this year.  Rosters were actually announced on Saturday - I just didn't have time to post until today!  I will be there opening night as well.  I have two players living with me this year.

Oh yeah, Adam.  We used to IM a lot, I'm not sure what happened to him.

Ryan Delaughter's going to be the best of all of these players. He has a real knack for the game and man is he fast!

Somehow I can't help but think that Aaron Seuss will be called Doctor Seuss...

Catcher: Sean Rooney
First base: Bill Rhinehart
Second base: Jake Rogers
Shortstop: Dan Lyons
Third base: Ricky Caputo
Left: Aaron Seuss
Center: Mark Gildea
Right: Ryan DeLaughter
Designated hitter: Garrett Bass

Yeah - Gibby pitched for us last year - 3 games - 6 innings - 0.00 ERA.  Looking forward to seeing how he has progressed.

Exactly right, Glenn Gibson will one of THE players to watch. I know I'll be watching him, and I wont be at all surprised if he's among the first pitchers promoted from the Lake Monsters. He could end the year in Harrisburg or possibly higher.

DeLaughter was there last year, no? 2 years in the NY-PA league is not a good sign.

As for Willems vs. Zimmerman, Zimm Jr. is a college pitcher, Willems was a high school pick. Willems got promoted from the GCL, but he's not quite ready for Hagerstown.

Gibson sure started on the right foot... 5 IP, 2H, 2BB, and 9K's!  Also, looks like one of our higher picks this year, Bill Rhinehart, is crushing it, 7 RBI in 3 games.

Two years in the NYPL is not really that uncommon, especially for younger guys.  DeLaughter is only 20 years old.

Well, I can tell you right now these games have been much more exciting (from a season-ticket holder).  I sold my tickets halfway through the year, because the games weren't close to exciting.

Keep in mind that Willems is still only 18 and more than two years younger than Jordan Zimmerman who is already 21.

Also, he was shut down last year in rookie ball due to a minor elbow problem.

Dude, you have no idea how psyched I am!  I bought season tickets for the first time this year, because I'm back in Vermont, and it's gonna be great watching a good team.  And the season tickets were only $120

It's nice to see signs of life in the low minors.  Potomac's really been hot since they promoted the oufield from Hagerstown.  We do have some talent in the minors now, good to see.  Can't wait until this year's draftees get into the system as well.
