Too much money for an injury-prone headcase who is pretty much just a speedster. He is a "big name" though, so Snyder did get that out of the deal.

Missing 10 games in 6 seasons doesnt really make one injury prone. Not a big fan of his mind you but hes a helluva weapon.

You think he will reverse the favor in two years?
We could use KD.

I think Jackson is a major upgrade but it seems like this means Snyder is the de facto gm with rg three as his assistant and deangelo as special advisor.  Bruce Allen is irrelevant and will be the next to go.  Gruden will have no leverage on Jackson should anything go wrong.  He will just run to Danny.

I wonder who will run to Danny when Jackson drops passes.

Redskins bring back Rob Jackson. With all the additions to the defense I expect Orakpo to have a good season and demand too much money next offseason so hopefully Jackson can step up and take over at that spot. Even though I like Jackson I don't see him being an effective full time starter. I hope I'm wrong though. I also hope Brandon Jenkins can develop into a good pass rusher.

That's how I felt when I learned of it. I thought he was all but signed with Oakland. Glad to have him back though.

well the team isn't moving back to DC anytime soon, I just listened to an interview with Bowser- skins would have to change their name as a condition for returning

The name will happen.  There's too much money in it for it not to.

I don't think anything happens until the team starts winning again. Fans are already starting to shrug- throw in a name change and they might have some trouble selling seats

Soon. Give it a couple years. Let RGIII blow up even more. Then all of the sudden Dan will have his come to Jesus moment and change the name. And reap the sales of all those jerseys and other team memorabilia.

I can't wait until this whole name crap breezes over, which it probably won't. I'd prefer the Redskins in the actual District, I freaking hate going to Landover, but considering how the traffic would be and the pathetic grandstanding everyone's been doing lately about the name, I'll drive to Landover everytime. Not that the agreement for FedEx Field will be broken any way anytime soon.

Disappointed about the DeSean signing too. I could have lived with a one-year deal, but three years is too much.

I'll hope it works out, but I don't think it will.

Tanard Jackson is being reinstated. After missing two full seasons I wonder what he has left.

Cross-posted from the Rob Ford thread in uncensored:

Quote
"I feel great," he said in an interview with the Toronto Sun. "Rehab is amazing. It reminds me of football camp. Kind of like the Washington Redskins camp I went to as a kid."

And re-signed him already. An extra body out there doesn't hurt.

Hoping we can pick up an O-Lineman in the draft who'll actually contribute right away.
