Why in the world would the Redsox want Hanley and Heath Bell?
Buster Olney @Buster_ESPNSources:There is no current discussion involving Crawford and Hanley Ramirez/Heath Bell. Was brought up briefly as concept, immediately died.
1. They get rid of the Crawford contract2. Hanley can kind of play shortstop, which has not been performing well for them3. They need bullpen help and Bell can't be as bad as his numbers4. Hanley was originally their prospect.
Now this broski is saying the Fish are shopping Infante.Bob Nightengale @BNightengaleThe #Marlins also in trade talks with the #Tigers about sending Omar Infante back to Detroit where he can play second base. #MLB
I know Hanley is hated here, but I'd like to have him at 2B or SS.
Another tweet from this guy. He's on a roll. Bob Nightengale @BNightengaleIf the #Marlins do decide they're out of it, Anibal Sanchez and Josh Johnson also will go. #Braves have expressed interest in Sanchez.
crawford isn't a headache, but he hasn't lived up to his contract performance-wise.the sawx have been enamored with hanley ever since they parted ways with him.
Great player when he feels like it Bad teammate.
Not all headaches are created equally Way underperforming a huge contract is a headache for Boston and I don't see anyway Hanley would be successful in that Boston environment
well Valentine probably wont be around much longer- and he seems to love stirring the pot with the media
FTFY
Keep this thread focused on Nats trades. The break up of the Marlins has little to do with this thread.
or Sanchez
