While I remain to be convinced,
Danny is seeing .2 more pitches per plate appearance this year. That's a nice skill for a top of the order guy. That, and a .346 OBP so far, is beginning to convince me he may be a top of the order guy after all. Small sample size, of course, but bears watching. Strange also to see he's hitting a lot more balls on the ground vs. in the air, which may explain the power drop. It's looking like he really has changed his hitting approach at the start of the year. The question is, is this his normal or new normal?
