But we also signed Morse to new deal this past off-season.  And perhaps that theory explains Dunn's performance (or lack thereof) last season. :poke:

Good point.

I swear, booing the living hell out of the team yesterday never felt better. Greatest feeling in the world. Pissed off a few Nationals fans, who all of course were wearing Harper and Strasburg crap, yeah, good one guys, 2010 fans, tell me more about how long you've been following team.

Two most retarded fan bases in D.C, Nationals and Capitals. Redskins easily going to take the #1 spot real soon if RGIII happens to be good.

The three fixtures of this Nats-Yankees series were the eighth, tenth, and eleventh-highest drawing matches in Nats Park history, and boosted our average attendance to 29,597/fixture. 592 better than the previous record set in 2008:

1   44,685   Saturday 20th August 2011 vs Phillies
2   42,331   Saturday 19th May 2012 vs Orioles [highest of 2012 to date]
3   41,985   Thursday 25th June 2009 vs Red Sox [highest of 2009]
4   41,918   Sunday 20th May 2012 vs Orioles
5   41,727   Sunday 21st August 2011 vs Phillies
6   41,530   Wednesday 24th June 2009 vs Red Sox
7   41,517   Tuesday 23rd June 2009 vs Red Sox
8   41,442   Sunday 17th June 2012 vs Yankees
9   41,406   Friday 15th June 2012 vs Yankees
10  41,290   Monday 5th April 2010 vs Phillies [season/home opener; highest of 2010]
11  41,287   Saturday 16th June 2012 vs Yankees

[pity the Yankees series didn't topple the Red Sox visits; better real Yankees fans than a bunch of fancy-pants-school politicals]

THIS DAY AND TODAY WITH THE '05 OVERACHIEVERS: a couple of whuppings at Texas (8-1 on Friday 17th - http://espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=250617113;;  7-4 on Saturday 18th - http://espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=250618113) - and they didn't even have Josh Hamilton back then; record through 18th June 39-29.

But even though today is an open date on the 2012 Nats fixture list, I would be remiss in not bringing up that today is the sixth anniversary of the WHO'S YOUR DADDY Fathers' Day win over the Yankees: http://espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=260618120
