I thought it looked like it got pushed further out because of the wind.

This is pathetic!  I think watching our local planning commission meeting online will be more interesting!!

Can you post the URL?

We can have a sub-Gameday Thread on the planning commission meeting.  I'll bet nobody steals any maps uncontested!

Mackowiak hit sacrifice fly to center, Johnson scored, Milledge to third.

Nationals 1
Mutts 1

No the wind is blowing from the outfield to home plate.

I liked that even with the pitcher on deck, Figueroa challenged the number 8 hitter. Now the pitcher has to lead off next inning. With the wind blowing it may be wise to challenge hitters and take your chance.

You can't look at a 3-2 count with the pitcher up next and 2 out. Rookie mistake by Flores.

That dude must have crazy power then, because he didn't hit that solidly at all and it went a good 400 ft.

Though we got lucky, at least we manufactured a run out of it.  Seems like we rarely do that.

He probably felt they would nag up and pitch around him because Perez was on deck.

Who gives up a HR to Damion Easley?  Perez is a clown.

The Keith Hernandez (Mets announcer) said that the wind is roughly 24-25 mph blowing straight in from center.

You can challenge National hitters because they have warning track power.  The Mets players will have no problems hitting it out despite the conditions.

Still, it was almost as if he was taking all the way.

That's what scared me about leaving RFK.

He must be wrong, because Damien Easley just hit that 400 feet Damn Easily to left center.

Exactly but perhaps that was a call from the dugout because they expected them to pitch around him and they could get Perez out of the way for next inning. That's the philosophy we employ in similar situations :?
