Good time for Colome.. This is the only type of game he should be allowed to pitch in.

woa, relax people. He's rebounded since that rough start, and has been $$$ since.

Ya, I'm really longing to see Nicky J back at 1st. I pray he stays injure free.

not holding my breath, and hoping we invest in some infielders in the next draft.

Jesus doesn't pitch well in lopsided games. Known fact. He's best in the clutch.

Were we to meltdown and lose this ballgame, it would rank in the top 3 demoralizing, embarrassing and worst losses of the season

And last year.  Grandpa Glavine is nasty.
Glavine like Jamie Moyer takes advantage of the current free swinging mentality of today's player.  Striking out 100 times a year is not a big deal any more.  It use to be a huge deal.  Therefore junk thowers like Glavine have stayed around forever because today's player always get themselves out but in the playoffs he tends to be less effective because player's become more patient.
Tomorrow we will swing at pitches in the dirt allllllll nightttttt !!!!!!!!
It would great just once this year to see Lenny Harris get these guys to be patient against a soft thrower like Moyer, Glavine, Hernandez, etc...

Not a known fact.  He's sucked in every situation.

Can't we please maintain our 10-run blowout lead instead of creating unnecessary drama and possibly making the game end with a score that looks as if the Mets actually had a chance?  Jeez...  no lead is safe with this club, in my opinion.

Kearns to Maxwell:
"If I call a fly ball, THAT MEANS I CATCH IT.
STAY OUTA MY WAY!  GOT IT?"

Let the Mets score 9 runs... then beat them 13-12!

This is why Carpenter isn't coming back next year. He is always refering to when we win instead of IF the Nats win. This is baseball, nothing is a given, and he has done it all year with leads a lot smaller and a lot earlier in the game.

Good Win!!! The Phillies are miles better than the Mets although the Mets will still barely win the division.  Even if they hold on I don't see the Mets going anywhere in the playoffs.  Way too inconsistent.

His ass was putrid after that outing though.
