All you have to do is look at lineup to understand why we don't average too many runs. We need to address that...we ALL know that. It's hard for me to believe they aren't trying to score more than 2 or 3 runs. This is why I want a guy like Dunn. I know, a lot of you don't agree, but he's got something we're lacking; POWER.

I can agree with that ronnynat. We need to upgrade 2/3 of our outfield. Dunn and a good hitting CF plus Kearns would considerably alter (improve) our offensive production.

That play was WAY closer than it should have been.

good inning, Ray.  King's ERA is below 5.00 for the first time in a long while.

Agreed.  His stock cannot get any higher than it is right now. The sooner we get rid of him, the more we are going to get in return.

I agree, but Bowden will wait til last minute, IMO, to get all of the offers he can. 50/50 on it being another Soriano-type situation.

Howard doesn't look comfortable at the plate.  Maybe facing another overweight guy hurts his mojo.  He's thinking that King might be MORE huge and annoying than him, and that just hurts his feelings.

This is the game here.  It's the 8th inning and we're at the top of the batting order.

Imagine what our BP would be like if our starters could shoulder one more inning per outing and they had one less inning to worry about!

It hurt us but once again our offense cost us the game.  Let's be serious, Giving up 4 runs in this ballpark to this offense as we have done the last 2 games is perfectly fine.  However, only scoring 5 runs combined in those 2 games is a disaster.

You're quite right wpa. However, at times, it seems as if they go up against certain pitchers and decide early that they can't hit him and roll over for the rest of the game. That's just my opinion and I realize it could be wrong.

I think that much of the angst at the plate has to do with certain types of pitchers - and how they seem to get in our hitter's heads - but I refuse to believe that this team ever rolls over ... if that was the case, they'd get blown out every night - the games may not always be pretty - but with the exception of the Tigers - this team has shown they can and will hang with anyone ..

also, imagine if they pitched w/ a lead more often than not. They're probably the most underrated BP out there.

How many people outside of this organization know who Saul Rivera is?

"Saul who?"

The offense rolls over every night and the only thing keeping the games from being blowout is great pitching (mostly the bullpen but the starting pitching is decent).

Zim is turning into Kearns.. He needs to lay off that inside, jamming pitch.
