Either hit a pitch limit or are conserving his innings so they don't over extend his arm, a year out of HS.
I guess. They have let Ray pitch longer granted he has had quicker innings.

I would say Cole has done fairly well though so far all things considered

I agree. I'm really excited about him, Solis and Ray.

Cole is the youngest one of Cole/Solis/Ray ... I think he's done a pretty good job so far, I'm very excited about his future (to go along with the other two as well).

I just want to see the Nats let Cole & Ray pitch for an extended period at Hagerstown (wouldn't upset me to see them in Hagerstown all year). Let them pitch against teams and players multiple times. Teams will adjust to them requiring them to counter and so on. They are young enough that starting 2012 in Potomac would work

I would hope that is the expectation as well. No sense in rushing them at all. Even if they dominate, its worth staying there all year. There are first rounders from last year that aren't even in full season ball yet.

I was kind of hoping to see them pitch 2/3 starts at the end of the year in Potomac... but, as you said, they are both young enough, it won't hurt them to finish the year in Low A.

Agreed on all accounts.  HS players need a whole year to adjust to full season baseball and pitch in a 5 day rotation.  Let them adapt and build up their innings at Hagerstown this year and then next year they can start moving them through the system at a pace that their performance dictates.

Agreed with NFA.  Plus, Solis is further ahead than Cole/Ray.

If they pitch well enough and show they are capable of handling Sally League, maybe at the end give them a start or two in Potomac.

You have to love the control and power stuff he's showing already. First taste of pro ball and he's striking out a better per inning, and has close to a 4/1 K/BB ratio.

He is also pitching to players 2 - 3 years older too. Aren't most 18/19 year olds in the GCL still?

Pretty much.  This is also something this organization has lacked since moving here, younger players that belonged and could compete at higher levels.  Two things are the major underlying causes of this, poor drafting of high school players in years past and the lack of a reliable stream of prospects from the DR.  My hope is that both continue to improve over the next few years.

he kinda has the bronson arroyo leg kick.  like a mini half kick.  so he can definitely continue to be called raiden in the time being.
