Borderline criminal that AJ Cole didn't make BA's Hot Sheet this week.

Rizzo doesn't seem to be the best at trading for need, but he seems to be great at getting away with absolute steals when he does trade

I have maintained he is a very good scout

Mediocre start by Cole last night but he still picked up the win to improve his record to 3-0 in AA.

Clearly where he belongs. I predict a September call up next season

A.J. Cole's night over for #HbgSens. His numbers thus far (two runners on base are his): 6.1 IP, 8 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 7 K, 104 pitches).

AFL. There are others who need to be added to the 40-man more urgently.

Maybe call him up now as a reliever. Krol is shaky; Abad is bad; Soriano has slipped to mediocrity. I keep looking at opposing teams who bring in 05 mph relievers in the 7th and 8th. Nats have missing players in the  bullpen.  We can send him down next season and call him up as a starter in September.

[That ignores his service time and the 40-man roster, but he team lacks relief pitching.

Why not Nate Karns to the bullpen?

Do it.

Send Soriano to AAA?

He doesn't seem like the type to accept the assignment to AAA. Give him the sixth inning instead.

So he can blow the game there? No thanks. Either DL him or DFA him.

Figure out the classification, but lets Karns or anybody else replace him. Make it a 60-day DL, so he can "rehab". Just so he never pitches for the Nats again. He is Brad Lidge without a professional attitude.

i know i'm in the minority, but i want to see him this year.  he's been kicking ass in AA.

but i know we won't see him and i know money wise, it won't make sense.

Someone asked about him on the BA chat today, and the answer was that as he is right now, he's a middle of the rotation starter in the bigs, but if he continues to develop his offspeed, he's a top of the rotation starter.  I think it's a good idea to let him develop and learn if it's going to be the difference between having a #1 or 2 vs a #3 or 4.

Got a long way to go. I wouldn't count on him.  I mean, even Strasburg has not done much.

Got a long way to go. I wouldn't count on him.  I mean, even Strasburg has not done much other than that whole career sub-3 ERA, even better defense independent rates, and a K/9 that's third in the majors over the past two years thing he's been doing.
